Henrietta Thomas

Henrietta advises on the full breadth of family law including separation, divorce, cohabitation, civil partnerships, pre and post nuptial agreements and including disputes involving children. She represents medium, high and ultra-high net worth clients in diverse cases that often involve international assets, complex financial structures and detailed tax considerations. She is experienced in dealing with cases involving allegations of financial non-disclosure and breach of confidentiality. Henrietta is also a Resolution trained mediator.

A graduate of Oxford University, Henrietta trained at the pre-eminent city law firm Herbert Smith. She went on to forge her family law career at Hughes Fowler Carruthers before joining Camilla Baldwin in June 2008 where she was promoted to partnership in January 2014. Henrietta joined Burgess Mee as a partner in April 2019.

A client of Henrietta's said "you were brilliant and I don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you for making the whole process easier and helping me cope."

Henrietta is a member of Resolution, an organisation dedicated to a constructive non-confrontational approach towards family law matters. She is a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer. The 2015 edition remarked that Henrietta is “incredibly hard working”, the 2014 edition noted that Henrietta is a “detail merchant” and the 2012 edition said that she is “adept and level headed”.

Henrietta is married with three children. In her spare time she is a keen cook and lover of art, theatre, poetry, music (classical and contemporary), and comedy.
