Burgess Mee Named London Law Firm of the Year at LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2022
Burgess Mee is delighted to have been named Family Law Firm of the Year: London at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2022, which took place last night at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
The judges said that Burgess Mee was “truly a firm of the future”, highlighting its initiatives such as supporting fertility in the workplace and promoting the wellbeing and mentoring of associates.
Natalie Sutherland, who heads Burgess Mee’s Modern Families department, was Highly Commended in the Partner of the Year category following her appointment as the firm’s fertility officer in September 2021. She was the first person in the UK to take on such a role.
Natalie was also Highly Commended in the Innovation of the Year category, along with Somaya Ouazzani, CEO of executive search firm, Mimoza Fleur, for co-founding In/Fertility in the City – a movement that seeks to open up the conversation around fertility in the workplace and encourage organisations to improve working cultures.
Vikkie Chetcuti-Gee was shortlisted for Young Solicitor of the Year, while Burgess Mee was also shortlisted in the Wellbeing category.
Now in their twelfth year, the Family Law Awards recognise the important work of family lawyers, and celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements.
