About Emma

Emma is one of London’s leading divorce lawyers with 30 years’ experience in Family Law.

Emotionally intelligent, Emma understands the stress caused by divorce, separation, and planning for children. She sets out a clear strategy early on and exudes a calm confidence, leaving her clients in no doubt she is on their side and happy to fight their corner.  Emma prides herself on her low-key, no-nonsense approach to getting the best outcome for her clients.

Emma is recommended in Spears Family Law Index. Legal 500 describe her as “admired for her sound judgement and client skills” and as an “extremely experienced and exemplary tactician”.

Chambers say she provides “an excellent service for clients, is extremely responsive and you have the feeling that the team is working towards a resolution rather than just whipping up fees”.  She is known for “classy clients and complex cases”.

Emma has extensive experience in all aspects of financial remedies upon divorce including international cases for HNW and UHNW individuals. Her ability to work with the numerous moving parts of a finance negotiation are second to none. She regularly deals with Schedule 1 applications for unmarried parents and Leave to Remove cases where one parent wishes to relocate with the children.  Her success rate is impressive having never lost an application to relocate or a defence of one on behalf of her clients!

Emma has acted for several Fortune 500 top executives and world leading sports people from the fields of football, rugby, and golf. She advises many in the film and music sphere alongside city partners from other law firms, accountancy, and insurance practices. Whoever her clients are they are all treated with the same care and attention.

She is often called upon for soundbites in the press and has written for the Daily Mail, The Actuary Magazine, Cheshire Life, Barker Poland Monthly finance magazine and the Family Law Journal.

Her reported cases are listed below and include obtaining one of (if not the) first civil restraint order in the case of Welch.
