Vikkie studied Law at the University of Surrey and graduated in 2013 before completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Holborn. She joined Burgess Mee Family Law as a newly qualified solicitor in February 2018 after completing her training at a boutique firm in North London. She was promoted to Associate in July 2021.
Vikkie handles a range of family law cases, including complex financial proceedings frequently involving family trusts, significant business structures and forensic disclosure requests. She specialises in pre- and post- nuptial agreements for a range of clients from all walks of life, often for high net worth clients with a focus on sports personalities and their families. She has written articles about prenuptial agreements for both Resolution and the Family Law Journal.
She also has a wealth of experience in private children law matters, particularly those involving allegations of domestic violence and abuse, and where the other party involved is particularly intransigent.
Vikkie has a particular interest in the rights of the transgender and gender diverse communities in family law. She had an article published by Resolution on the well-known 2020 case of Bell & Anor v The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust and continues to keep up with developments in this area.
Vikkie is a member of Resolution and sits on their South West London committee. She is also a member of Law for Life’s Advice Now service, providing low-cost legal advice to those who need it.
